Circles. These images illustrate an obsession I have for drawing concentric circles in the sand. I have completed many of these, many undocumented, and will probably continue into the future. It stems from a great interest I have in 1970's Earth Artists such as Robert Smithson, and the more recent environmental artists, Andy Goldsworthy, and Richard Long. The work has more in common with Long than the others, largely because of the simplicity of the concept and of the working process, although the work does tend to mirror Smithson's interest in Entropy.
